Calls for independent cross-party review into NHS, routine T1 screening and beta cell breakthrough
The NHS and the Government have featured prominently in the news over the last few days, with a number of proposals holding potential significance for diabetes care.
Diabetes UK reported that both type 1 and type 2 diabetes could "bankrupt the NHS” in 2015, and Liberal Democrat MP Normal Lamb stood in Parliament on Wednesday 6 January in his bid for a full, impartial review. He said: “The Government cannot avoid this issue any longer. Establishing this commission will show they are serious about protecting these vital public services.” Let us know whether you support a review into the NHS.
