What is ‘diabetic food’?
 

People with diabetes don’t need to eat special ‘diabetic food’. In fact, the largely obsolete term refers to food that is more expensive than standard products and should only be eaten sparingly, if at all, like some sweet foods.

Many of us enjoy a glass of wine. A dry wine can have less than 2g carbs in a modest sized glass (200ml), which is much more blood sugar-friendly than sweet wine. Plus red wine is often praised for its health benefits (but not for those under 18).
