Diabetes News Review Breaking news this month included a Diabetes.co.uk re-design in the pipeline, with stronger affiliation with our sister sites DiabeticTravel and DiabeticLife to get even cheaper insurance deals for diabetics.

Also of interest for the diabetic community: the power of pumpkins was revealed, Novo released powerful data on their diabetes drug, and a new, non-invasive diabetes screening device was released.

Alternative treatments do have diabetes significance According to one expert, diabetics should consider how complementary and alternative therapies ( CAM ) can affect their diabetes management, and seek aid from healthcare professionals to build them into their conventional treatment regime.

CAM therapies have long been shown to be effective in stabilising blood sugar levels, although some herbs and supplements are more useful than others.
