Diabetes UK, the leading UK diabetes charity, is running several Walk in the Park events this year. The charity is calling on all walkers to become involved in the sponsored walk to help diabetes .
Walk in the Park includes over 100 different walks throughout the UK. Participants can choose their own pace, and some routes are apparently fine for wheelchairs and pushchairs.
Everyone that participates in the relaxing exercise will be given a drawstring bag, with a medal for all who complete the course.
The walks are taking place as part of Diabetes Week, with the first taking place on Sunday 8th June at 11 am in Regent’s Park. Staying active is really important in treating diabetes .
