Being asleep. Being awake. Hot weather. Cold weather. Seems there’s no end to the number of things that can raise your blood glucose levels. No wonder diabetes management can be such an obstacle course.
But it’s not all doom and gloom. For every factor that unexpectedly sends your blood sugars spiralling out of control, there’s an equally unexpected – and often enjoyable – way to keep them under control.
Having type 1 diabetes is far from easy, but if your loved one has the condition, it can be useful to know what they are thinking.
Having been following a relatively low carb for the last two years, my blood sugar levels are as good as they’ve been, and have been for the best part of these last 24 months. Probably the only downside that I’ve noticed is the huge increase in price of my weekly shopping bill.
