Tara Kelly

Tara is a dietitian registered with the Health and Care Professions Council. She graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Human Nutrition before earning a Postgraduate Diploma in Nutrition and Dietetics in London.

Tara’s role as Specialist Dietician has provided her with an in-depth knowledge of bariatric surgery, weight management and type 2 diabetes. In creating and executing a Tier 2 NHS weight management service, she learned there is no ‘one size fits all’ approach when it comes to treating complex conditions like obesity. In a time of unclear dietary media messages and conflicting evidence regarding nutrition, Tara believes that educating patients is crucial and aims to ensure that patients are making informed decisions regarding their diet. Tara’s fundamental belief when it comes to diet and health is simple; eat real food.

Tara is particularly interested in carbohydrate intake and type 2 diabetes management.

Outside of work, Tara enjoys an active lifestyle and always enjoys spending time in the kitchen cooking for her friends and family.
