FBG this morning 4.8 mmol/l
Weight steadfast at 225.6 pounds , give or take a pound or two I have been here all month.
Ketones surprisingly 0.4 although I must admit I had a handful of macadamia nuts last night while cooking dinner. Maybe they had something to do with it although I have not had very high ketone levels at all during this month which I found a bit surprising.
I have been eating two meals a day - lunch and dinner and have just finally started counting my macros and caloric intake just to see what I was actually doing. Seems I average between 2500 and 3000 calories a day intake. About 75% fat 20% protein and usually less than 5% carbs (finally figured out how to work it out...) . This seems to be ok for maintenance for me so for March I will try cutting out lunch to see if I can encourage some weight loss by extending my fast. I may introduce a few bits of greenery like the odd avocado although I will happily admit that I have found animal only quite manageable. I have found that lean chicken doesn't seem to help my blood sugar levels having had a few minor spikes after eating it.. thighs legs and wings seem ok.
Not sure if I am right in the head but we have joined a gym! after 10 years of avoiding too much exercise something in my head clicked while we were away on hols so we have taken the plunge.. literally as the one we have joined has 2 pools, indoor and outdoor open all year round. I have asked if any of the trainers followed a keto diet but unfortunately not... yet. Should be fun.. and it's only for a year! What have we done...
