Hi crbertoli,

You are in the blog area of the forums .. If you post in the main forums more people will offer help and advice.
I cannot see here if you T1 or T2 ... guessing your T2 ..
It normal to feel anxious while your blood sugars are out of control .. the best thing you can do is become proactive .. treat yourself to a bs meter and have a look in the main forums about the affect carbs have on your blood sugars. If you choose to go low carb high fat way to control your blood sugar .. the start slowly reducing your carb levels to bring your sugars down steadily and not a fast drop.. when your sugars are back to normal hopefully your eyes will return to normal for you.
Have you been diagnosed with retinophy or are is your vision just blurred ?
