I understand that many people that have diabetes are not given personal record books where all of their related tests and medications are recorded. I am one of the lucky ones that have one and can see my results, medications and changes that have occurred since diagnosis.
One of the problems with these records is that you have very little information about how well or badly you are progressing because they are simply entered as numeric values and I think that a better method would be to include a "traffic light" indicator that gives the patient either a red, amber or green indicator as to how they were progressing.
I have attached an example of a Care Book page with a simple alteration that I feel will help many people understand their results in a more graphic way and I was wondering if anyone had any comments on this proposal - obviously it could either be in hard copy or digital format.
