Freestyle Libra meter and Sensor

Published by seanmorris3466 in the blog seanmorris3466's blog. Views: 186

have been using the freestyle from Abbot now for the past 6 months and I’ve got to say it’s so much better than sticking my finger all the time
I have type 2 diabetes and so I have to buy my sensors myself which cost me just over £48 with vat off and only lasts 14 days which to me seems a bit silly, if they found some way of reducing the packaging as the amount used is a little over the top. I just wish the NHS would fund just one sensor if not the 2 that I use. I’m going to ask my own doctors to fund one if I fund the other so will see what they have to say! I know the NHS funds T1D but it’s a lottery and all down to your doctors as to whether you can get the sensors on prescription. As all diabetics get free prescriptions it shouldn’t matter where we live!!
