Help with newly diagnosed diabetes
Hi I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes 4 weeks ago and the nurse put me on metformin in 500mg on a day (got no advice what's so ever) anyway I was having a bad reaction to metformin and so kept going back to doctors but she did help,I lost 1 stone in a week and my glucose level was 24.8 she wouldn't give me a testing kit and because I suffer from chronic pancreatus she said my levels would be high, the next day I was rushed into hospital with body temperature 25 and severe diadration and sugar level 29.4 and high keystone level .
Since coming out of hospital they think I'm type 1but they have put me on slow realise metformin 500mp and 40mg glitzatite but still getting high reading lowest being when get up 15.0 and before going to bed 29.6 (I have to test myself 4 times a day ) also keystones are increasing but will have a word with doctor.
ANYWAY MY BIG QUESTION IS WHEN IM TRYING TO GET BLOOD WHEN SELF TESTING I SEEM TO GET NONE OR ITS VERY HARD IS THERE ANY HELP OUT THERE PLEASE.
