No Veins for blood test - Help !

Published by Bri in the blog Bri's blog. Views: 798

Here we go for the annual blood test before my yearly review, oh Joy .
Had the feet done , weight and pre appointment . However the diabetic nurse cant find any veins .
So , here we go , last year I had 5 yes 5 appointments for one sample of blood .
Unbelievable I know , what they did manage to drain , wasn't enough !
SO , hydrated , 2 litres , before apt , slapped myself about a bit , hot water bottle on veins , even a bucket of hot water at the hospital . Any suggestions ?
Shall I make a cut in the arm before I go ? Desperate for advice .
I cant afford 5 more appoints off work ! Thanks in advance ! :)
