Just starting a ‘non-treatment’ week so looking forward to relatively low blood glucose and no extra injections. Food will be a delight this week too; I will be able to enjoy spicy, tasty meals as my mouth no longer tastes like I’m chewing tin foil and the sore areas are healed. The further I am from steroids the more stable I feel and I’m hoping for some impromptu family and friend get together times.
It is quite difficult having good weeks though, it’s a short-lived reminder that I have no control of diabetes or cancer and the best I can hope for is a companionable compromise and trying to live life in the midst. Grateful, as ever, to be upright and breathing.
