  1. So my right foot has always caused me problems. Ulcers that won't heal despite having a good pulse and blood supply to my foot.

But recently there has been some bone infection found. We've hit the foot with antibiotics for nearly 3 weeks solid through an IV but they are giving in and sending a surgeon to see me. Even my doctor says the surgeons tend to treat this aggressively.

I'm 34 and about to lose my foot it seems, and I'm terrified. I want to prope to my girlfriend. I was doing so well at work. Everything in my life before being admitted to hospital was going so well, but now it feels like everything is going to be taken away from me.

Not just my leg. I can't expect my girlfriend to become my care worker while I recover. I can't expect work to keep my job open for the extensive recovery period that will be involved with having my leg taken away.

    Did I mention I'm terrified?
