  1. I have type 2 diabetes, i have a chest infection, can this cause high reading?
I had light breakfast smoked salmon around 11 am.
2 hours after reading was 17, i checked again 3 hours later then 14.
I have not eaten all day, yet it is staying on or around 14.

I can not understand this, please can anyone give me some advice.

My GP is appalling , really bad level of care of compassion. I will change GP for sure.

Adding to the above, i am now my lowest weight since i was 16 years old, confused is an understatement.
