  1. Been trying to do OMAD (one meal a day), and it's been a great experience. Will do it at least twice a week if not more.
  2. Today I got my labs and they are very rewarding. Indeed, the LCHF diet is the cure:
    FBG: 85 mg/dl (4.7 mmol/l)
    Hba1c: 5.4 % (36 mmol/mol)
    Triglycerides: 0.74 g/l (0.83 mmol/l)
    Total cholesterol: 1.59 g/l (4.11 mmol/l)
    HDL-C: 0.58 g/l (1.49 mmol/l)
    LDL-C: 0.86 g/l (2.22 mmol/l)
    Total cholesterol/HDL-C ratio: 2.74
    Triglycerides/HDL-C ratio: 1.28
    Blood Pressure: 110/70, HR 66
    BMI: 20.79 (net weight: 60.8 kg; -15 kg)


    I ought to thank myself for what I have achieved without any form of medication. It's just the fruit of healthy food and regular exercise.

  9. Having done IF for 18 days (Ramadan), I feel ready for a major upgrade: OMAD (1 meal a day). With every day, it is becoming a viable option. Having been on a LCHF diet for more than 16 months has convinced me of the OMAD as a life choice, TMAD (2 meals a day) has been a rewarding experience. I vowed to never resume high carb junk food diets.

  12. My blood check-up is due in 3 weeks. I am doing my best to achieve my goals: getting my hba1c down to 5 % (31 mmol/mol) or lower, triglycerides down to 42 mg/dl (0.47 mmol/l), and HDL-C up to 60 mg/dl (1.55 mmol/l). More weight loss as a bonus, not really a priority.
