  1. I had a large miscalculation yesterday. I went out to do our weekly shop, which meant walking a fair distance. The closest supermarket doesn't have the best social distancing guidelines, so I prefer to go a bit further to Sainsbury's. I don't drive, so that meant getting everything back myself – I prefer to do that instead of risking public transport. My blood sugars just started to dip by the time I got home, so I had three glucose tablets. As it turned out, I definitely did not need to do that.

  4. See if you can spot the part where I expected to go low and overcorrected a hypo that, apparently, never would have materialised anyway. At least a correction dose of 1 unit of short acting, and a socially distant walk afterwards got me down again.

  7. A lot of yesterday was good. Another new sensor day as well. Things got a bit unpredictable in the evening though, and I really paid for it this morning (as you'll see in tomorrow's graph).

  8. My food/insulin ratio in the evenings is a bit off, so that's my next goal to sort.

  11. I've been looking over my posts for the last few days, and actually perhaps I've been too hard on myself. I feel like I've been slipping, but the lines are flatter than they used to be. Do I have progress to make? Yes. Am I following my plan perfectly? No. Is this a process where overall trends matter more than a single blip? Most definitely. I'm having far fewer hypos than I used to, which is great. My restraint when it comes to snacking/extra food at mealtime still needs work, but I am still getting results. And I'm continuing to post. That's a habit I'm pleased I'm managing to keep up.

  14. It's my birthday today – I'm 33. I'm spending the day practising Bach and proofreading a fictional council tax leaflet for a course I'm doing. The fun doesn't even think about stopping in my life ;).
