Hi Chas, I read you have had a double hip replacement in a recent post. Can I ask what they said caused this to happen? I had my right hip replaced and my left Fibular grafted into my left hip in 2005, and I am suffering from the same shoulder problems as yourself.

        Hi Gaz

I'd be guessing rather than know for sure, I've been told its not related to Diabetes.

My shoulder was due to being a white water kayaker, dart player, badmington and ten pin bowler - so my left shoulder took quite a bit of a beating.

My hips is anyones guess, but its been developing and getting worse over about ten+ years. I drive for around 2-3 hrs each day and was told that car seats and bad posture (sitting upright) are really bad for your hips. Seems you need flat not sculpted (bucket type) seats and you should sit with your seat as far back as is comfortable.

Sorry to hear you have same issues

In fairness and I did bring this up at the hospital, I think the hips and shoulders are due to injecting the insulin into the hips and arms for many years. They blamed my hips was due to excessive drinking (which I was at the time) but they also asked if I had deep sea dived as the cause was similar to the benz (if that how to spell it)
