        Thank you I’m going go buy one tomorrow I’ve missed chips and mash thanks for that. And that’s a good idea I will freeze some I’m looking forward to them with steak and salad. Will they go with gammon and eggs. And can you make a soup with it with oxo stock cubes say with gammon and leaks and veg xx

        It does have a different texture to potatoes but I enjoy. I use a lot in soups and casseroles and curries as it adds thickness and hasn’t got an overwhelming flavour so takes flavour of the stock or curry etc. It goes brown quickly when peeled so whack into freezer as soon as you chop it!

    Diagnosis May 2015 Hba1c 97, weight 85.3kg ( 13 stone 6 pounds - BMI 30.3, put on 2x Metformin.
    Started standard low fat, healthy eating guidelines dieting - this resulted initially in lower hbaca1 and weight but by Summer of 2017 my weight and bgs were climbing up again
    September 2017 switched to LCHF plus some intermittent fasting. Also stopped Metformin
    November 2017 Hba1c 33
    May 2018 Hba1c 30
    October 2018 Hba1c 31 - diet only
    March 2019 hba1c 29 - diet only control
    January 2020 hba1c 34 - diet only control BMI 20
    September 2020 hba1c 32 - diet only control
    Februaray 2021 hba1c 34 - diet only control BMI 20
