lantus doesnt come in half units unfortunately .

My daughter was on lantus and we changed to levemir.The worst thing we ever did always high on a morning,very rarely below 10 during the day.She was on 41 units at the age of 11.We've now changed back to lantus her readings are so much better.

Have you looked at the icegems website.They do a fabric one for £!5 with free engraving.

Our daughters had this fitted twice now if you get the chance to get one use it.you will get the results you want it's worth it you will see all her highs and lows.Sophie had her stomach numbed so it wouldn't hurt.She found no problems wearing it at all it was so worth it.

She doesn't have her full dose its took a week for the doctors to receive the prescription.And now they have it they won't give us levemir .And it's only just come to me about when having levemir you need a much larger dose.Im sure i read it on here somewhere but not sure.

Been having a few problems with levemir so tonight sophie's going back on to glargine.i think i read somewhere that with levemir you need a much larger amount.We arent quite sure how much to start her off with she is currently on 41 units.We are unable to contact the hospital until tommorow.
