Libre 2 update and smart watches

There are some 3rd party app. I use Sweet Dreams - Sugar Tracker. Generate bg report in Lock Screen and creates a calendar entry that’s shown on Apple Watch. Gluroo is similar but I found it too complex, Lock Screen only via notifications.

    Freestyle App and Novopens

There’s definitely an issue for iPhones scanning novopens following LibreLink v2.10.1 update. As admin for a freestyle Libre fb group I’m seeing multiple reports of scans failing and causing the white screen issue. All people reporting the issue are advised to report to Abbott. This is clearly...

    Insulin and temperatures

Correct temps are 2c to 8c. Definitely useless if frozen! It continues to work if stored above 8c but this reduces shelf life.

    Fiasp

Does not work for everyone. Also the agent that makes it fast acting can make it painful to inject.

    Libre alarms not working.

Alarms not working is a common complaint. Here’s my view on a few things. 1. If your alarms previously worked with the device...

Pump cost comparison for private funding

I am a service user rep for my local NHS diabetes service. As such, I have worked with the diabetes service provider to agree policy on pump use and what is being offered. As our service has already been outsourced to a private company, they were allocated a budget by the CCG to run the pump...

    Long Haul Flight Advice

I regularly travel long haul. The best advice I can give is set the pump time to match your destination time on departure. Then try to eat/sleep in line with destination. As travel can be stressful, and stress can increase blood sugar, you may need to increase Basel slightly. Generally I...

    Pump Replacement - at Warranty?

Like kegstore found, my local PCT insists that I insure my pump as I am responsible for it. I haev not issue with this. It costs £20 extra per year. I did have a problem recently when trying to change my insurance - the new company insisted on seeing the original purchase receipt! Ended up...
