Hmmmmm was that mince tart worth it? maybe at the time but at a bs of 8.7 2 hrs after eating it maybe not, oh well lesson learned.

A few days of treats won't hurt @orchid5. 8.7 isn't so bad really. Just try to eat more of the "good stuff" than the "guilty stuff." (I do my best with that on special occasions, but not always successfully I must admit.) Don't beat yourself up for indulging. Overall, it's the big picture over 3 months, re; your hba1c, that matters most. Enjoy your Christmas. Best wishes to you & yours.

I had a 4.5 just now
That is low for me and I am glad I checked because I felt shaky and heat surging thru my body chewed a few glucose tablets 7.4 when re tested 15 mins later

4.5 should be fine...maybe you felt a little shaky as its much lower than usual for you..but its a nice number. Good sign that your readings are coming down though - a positive end to 2015. Enjoy today.

Hello folks. Early start for me on this Christmas Day. BG 5.2 when I woke up this morning. Still over indulging a tad, but having fun with it. BG had dropped to 3.8 at 11am. Kinda shaky n weak-knee'd. Couldn't face breakfast first thing, which proved to be a bad choice. Ho hum! Happy Christmas to you & yours folks. x
