Perhaps statin use has dropped so they have thought up another use for them.

Well I never even started mine. I have just read something on the Home page saying they are being given out too easily. I think (but not sure) they were originally given to people with high risk of heart problems. Another 10 yr trial revealed they prevent 7 heart attacks I think it was 4 strokes & 2deaths in 1000 people .
So much written about them now it's hard working out what to believe
