For those of us who are not ultra-low carbing and would like a sweetish treat, I have discovered that Yeo Valley's Vanilla Custard ice cream is not too bad:

TYPICAL VALUES PER 100ml
Energy 441 kJ/106 kcal
Fat 6.1g
of which Saturates 3.7g
Carbohydrate 10.2g
of which Sugars 10.2g
Protein 2.4g
Salt* 0.08g

Tastes good too. The nearest competitors had nearly double that amount of carbohydrate as a minimum.

In other news, Delba pumpernickel cocktail rounds are a fab alternative to malt loaf. Each round weighs about 10g, making it a reasonable choice in my book (especially if slathered in butter):

Nutrition Information
(average values per 100g)
Energy 781 kJ (184 kcal)

Protein 5,5g
Carbohydrates 37,6g
Fat 1,3g
Sodium 0,6g

I wonder if you could freeze Alpro yoghurt to make a frozen yoghurt the plain or coconut flavours have 2.1g/2.2g carb per 100g so not so bad.. maybe I'll give it a try..

Probably not unless the fat content is high. I understand that it's the combination of sugar and fat that makes ice cream (and frozen yogurt) soft enough to not need an ice pick...
