Help with meters

I eventually received my delivery of my bg meter at lunchtime.

I took a reading before lunch which was 6.6. I've taken a reading 2 hours after lunch it's 5.8. I had oatcakes with mackerel pate (mackerel with full fat natural yogurt) and an apple.

Does that seem right that it's gone down?

Any help appreciated.

Thank you. Been trying to avoid carbs but allow myself some oatcakes. That's my treat !

Checked when the 3 hours came up at its gone up to 6.2

Thanks. Been trying to stick to full fat yogurt, berries and linseed for breakfast, homemade soup and oatcakes with mackerel pate for lunch then a salad usually with chicken or salmon for dinner until I see what works for me.

@cruiksl Sounds perfect. I love oatcakes but alas the spike my bloods. You lucky thing!

It was the nairn cheese oatcakes. Don't know if that makes a difference. Have ran out now so onto the normal ones tomorrow x
