Blood spikes

On some foods I can spike quite high, i.e. from a 5 to a 10 but immediately drop down again to normal within 2 hours. Do you think this is too high and doing damage, or is the fact that I drop right down immediately again ok? I am type 2 diet and metapormin controlled. Thank you

Thank you. I Do tend todrop very quickly down again, if I tested my blood a few minutes later I'd miss the spike it is very quick, back to under 5.5 within 20 minutes ish of the high? These figures don't account for how long you would be at a level, I could spike and be back ok again by 2 hours? Thank you in advance....
