Hi everyone, Hope you're all well.

It is persistently raining here, that horrible stuff that's not really heavy but soaks you through.
My daughter went back to work this morning, phased return as she's been off since August, diagnosed with IIH. She works for the Diabetic Screening Service as a receptionist. I've been worrying all morning, wondering how she's coping but it went well.

It was back to normal with the site this morning, either couldn't get on or couldn't do anything. I'll be glad when it is completely sorted.

Re: glamping, I know loads love it including friends of ours, but for me it's no way, no how, never. I'd rather have my ears pierced (and I've never done that). Too many bugs, no hot water or proper loo and I couldn't crouch down if my life depended on it lol.

Yay, back down to 4.9! After yesterday's shock 10.0 this makes me happy - good diet = good results. No more KFC never ever ;)

Sorry, just had to share :)

Wow went to hospital for Husband to meet with the specialist nurse prior to his MRI and Biopsy and were there for 4 hours......In to see nurse, to pharmacy for preventative antibiotics, back to nurse, up to MRI to book appointment, fill in questionaire, decided that he needed an x-Ray of his eyes to check as he once had an accident with filings in his eyes, to x Ray, then back to specialist nurse again for booking of biopsy.

Phew anyhow MRI is booked for the 20th May and Biopsy for 24th May, You have to love the NHS in an emergency.

We were both famished so at 2:30 called into Frankie and Benny's for a late lunch, I had the Avocado , bacon and chicken salad, no honey and mustard dressing but asked for mayo on the side.

No idea what I was before lunch but just tested and am 5.2 so that must have been ok.

Totally shattered now so having a cup of tea!

@johnnybaker45 - good news on finally getting a diagnosis, the right supports can mean a world of difference, I have 3 children - all now in their 20's on very different places on the spectrum - they were fortunate and diagnosed young, and I could see the difference giving them the kinds of support they needed made for them

I'm a little irked this morning myself.... I know it's dawn phenomenon / liver dumping but **** it all... when I was posting mid 6 all day yesterday and dinner was less than 20 gr of carbs (I forgo the spagetti in favour of a nice hunk of roast pork) ... waking up to a 9.2 is just plain frustrating. Weather is still lovely so I'm gonna go take my annoyance out on some weeds

Hi everyone hope your all well. Non stop heavy rain here!, apparently same for few days yet.yesterday nurse said to keep using eye drops, they finished yesterday and I'm trying to get more from doctors, if they will give will have to walk in the rain! I presume eyes have healed as nurse said they're OK! Cooking chicken /veg soup today, trying to be healthy.
I made some low-carb Swedish breakfast buns this morning. Not a huge success. :( This is the second batch I've tried - the first ones were very disappointing, and deep purple from the psyllium! The dog turned her nose up, but the magpies enjoyed them......
I might give it one more try and then give up on them; I think I'm just sold on the name - they sound very healthy and cosmopolitan! :playful:

Just back from a lovely walk in the woods, 21 degrees here so that, in the words of Eddie, is a Scottish heatwave :) got up to 23 degrees yesterday changed my winter curtains in the lounge for lighter summer ones- hope that I'm not being too optimistic
I hope we're not responsible for the change in the weather, Anna - I just spent all morning putting the summer-weight duvets on the beds and swapping the winter clothes for the summer ones.....

Sounds like when I tried to make ooosie buns. It said "shape into rounds and out into tin" (think it meant those 4x yourkshire pud tins) well I did put into the tins but had to pour it.... The only "bread" I've tried is cauliflower bread but had to use food processor, blender couldn't cope. Was lovely with feta cheese sprinkled on whilst it was warm...following day I fried it both sides and used same topping. It would make a nice pizza.

Scotland is getting the brunt of the cold weather at the weekend :D Here in York it got to 25 degrees yesterday, - I'm waiting for the storm as the rumbling of thunder is getting nearer and louder, and we have fine drizzle starting.
I love thunderstorms! :)

Hmm, I haven't tried cauliflower bread - do you have a recipe link, please Jan?

It was a pity the Swedish buns were purple, because the recipe made a lovely, pliable dough and the buns were a great shape. I left out the psyllium in today's batch, but although they were the right colour, they looked flat, cracked and unappetising.

@debrasue please remind me if I forget. It is posted several times amongst the threads. I'm outside at the mo or I would attach recipe from laptop. The cauliflower bread recipe that is.....be glad when app problems sorted.
@ whoever mentioned the lamb on the BBQ Defo long slow cooking every time.
Think I might've made it rain too. Washed waterproof wintet coat and pegged on line to drip....it's still there drying as big tree protects from rain much of the time.
