A1C3 test

I have had 2 Aic3 tests and they were 4.77 each

If I remember correctly this is a good Number.

I would appreciate your thoughts.

Hi Bob.
Welcome.

Is this the HbA1c test that we are talking about ? I think the US terms it A1c.....not sure what the 3 is for ? Are the results from a home kit or your Physician ?

They seem pretty good for me however they were arrived at.

They were blood tests at a hospital ordered by my GP. The highest was 5.7 a year ago before I started Metformin 2000mg and Glimepiride 16mg a day

Hi Bob and welcome, those results are brilliant to get below 5% is unattainable to most of us whatever your doing is working keep it up. You may want to review your medications you probably could reduce them but consult your doc first.

Hi Bob - It's good to meet you. Yes with an HbA1c of less than 5% you are in a very small club indeed. I'm hoping to get there myself before too long.

How did you get there? What advice do they give you in the US?
