Hi, I'm due to travel in France next month. Hopefully all will be well and I am well prepared with my pump supplies and extra insulin etc but I would love to know if anyone has any experience with getting medical treatment in France and any advice. A few months ago I had my first ever hospital admission from DKA (unknown bladder infection) so this time I'm traveling with antibiotics (just in case) but if the worst happens I will still need to seek help quickly. Anyone have any advice regarding the language barrier etc

We used to live in France. Only had to visit the docs once in a small rural town in the Medoc. The doctor's english was 50 times better than my French. You will have to pay a fee though to see a doctor I think it was 23 Euro. Even the vet had a better grasp of English than my French .. I think you will be ok.
