Is it any wonder why people think low-carb diets are unhealthy when the main source of the media's info is via the Atkins Corporation? (No disrespect to the doctor himself, or his recommended diet - just the Big Fake Nutri-Business which has usurped his name).
Playing with my new ipod touch the other day I decided to download a carb-counter app - found an Atkins one - installed it and looked up 'apple' as I was thinking of eating one with cheese for lunch. Would you believe, no result for 'apple'? Applesauce - yes; apple juice - yes; Dunkin Donuts apple fritter - yes; somebody else's Apple pies - yes, naturally. All stuffed with sugar. But no actual apple - why would anyone want to eat one of those!?
