I am in western canada right on the coast. My garden is pretty much toast as we have had wind and rain or blistering hot this year with no in between. I can't really look after it anymore but the bones are still there. Roses and rhododendrons, lilacs, lots of daylillies (tough sucker they are) holly, apple trees, siberian iris in purple, hostas, crocosmia, mock orange, honeysuckle, wisteria, peonies, moss roses, wild daisies, wild columbine, native ferns, and a few other odds and ends. These are the plants that have survived very minimal maintenance. Just mowing and trimming and a bit of pruning. All the blossoms have been beaten off from the rain. It is a temperate rain forest here with much the same climate as england but very acid soil. We don't have dormice but we do have Galjas robins. Tons of wildlife big and small. I live 30K outside a fairly small town and bush is all around. I will try to get some pics of my garden tomorrow. I tried to post a pic my son took but I don't know if I did it right.Morning, they are Dormice and I named them Dizzy and Dory, they have been part of the forum for a while now.
