This has always been the worst time of day to find something to eat for me. I don't eat eggs except fried and the yellow, don't eat cereals or breads. So would appreciate some ideas. Sometimes I don't eat Breackfast at.

Line the bottom of a ramekin with streaky bacon, crack in two egg yolks, season with salt and pepper - bake for 20 minutes at 160degC

Half an avocado filled with cream cheese and eaten with a spoon. You'll be so yummily full that you won't fancy elevenses!

Bacon, tomatoes and mushrooms all done in the same frying pan. Lots of black pepper.

More carby, but how about some natural yoghurt (I make my own) with a sprinkling of sweetener with either a couple of raspberries (I buy commercially frozen raspberries in bags - they're excellent value for money and they're always ready and waiting in my freezer) or a spoonful of Whole Earth crunchy peanut butter. Or both. Raspberries and peanut butter = PBJ-flavoured yoghurt!
Edited to say - really sorry - hadn't noticed the 'lactose free' requirement - my above suggestion would, I would hope, also taste yummy with a lactose free yoghurt alternative!

I'd very happily eat any (or all!) or the above, washed down with very strong tea with a tiny splash of milk. Two cups!

:)

You know, if you can, you don't have to eat breakfast!
Use the missed meal to have a intermittent fast or just eat when you want, what you want unless it plays merry hell with your bloods!

Just an alternative!

SO SORRY @Lilliepop - I hadn't noticed the 'lactose free' headline. Please disregard my yoghurt suggestion! Although there are I think lactose-free alternatives to yoghurt. Sorry.... x

Add some onions, and I add a slice of black pudding as a side!

Yum!

@Lamont D - black pudding as a SIDE?! For us it's a main feature, but only when the breakfast also contains eggs (I wipe up my yolks with the BP).

I buy the 'Truly Irish' brand by the brace when it's 99p instead of £1.49 - it's a total of 48g CHO, and we have a quarter each (that means two breakfasts, as there's two of us) so that's only 12g CHO. Lasts in the fridge unopened for yonks; freezes beautifully if you're only cooking half of it. The perfect yolk-soaker.

Totally agree, I eat on average about twenty eggs a week. Can't beat, (sorry!) Fried eggs, with mushrooms and onions, black pudding etc.
Buy mine fresh from the local market or I get a chub (that's the whole wrapped pudding) from a specialist farm shop. Always get a extra piece when I'm on my travels in hotels and such!
Price doesn't come in to it! It's not the same without it!

Me too - I'm an egg fiend - two for breakfast, one for elevenses and one as part of my salad lunch most days - although at weekends I might have a 3-egg omelette for lunch. They're my favourite food!

Groan - just got your 'can't beat' joke! BRILLIANT!

Which I am happy to say can be bought at Lidl! It is yummy! I sometimes have it for breakfast. And sometimes have jelly and yoghurt as a dessert!

Well there are some yummy ideas there I'm going to get the black pudding sounds nice with egg yoke. I forgot all about peanut butter I love that also. It's nice with celery or Apple maybe apples are a bit high in carbs. Thank you all very much. I always feel there is something not right when I have a fry up without bread so have three rice cakes at 12 carbs.now the next thing I have to do is cut out the potatoes they really Spike my carb levels.

I hate to harp on about the Low Carb rolls but they are only 2carbs each and they most certainly mop up egg yolk, tomato juice, mushroom juice etc. They toast, and I am sure they can also be fried in the juices from the pan! I will look out the link.
