The drug or it affecting BG?

I´ve never heard that citalopram or any other SSRI´s *(like Citalopram) should affect blood glucose at all...

this is what I found about the subject ; https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/11151029

but in this specific information it is actually mentioned that citalopram could affect blood glucose and that one should be aware.. http://patient.info/medicine/citalopram-cipramil-paxoran

what I was more chocked to learn is that those kinds of antidepressants seems to increase the rate of depression in the longer run

Pump
Was on that for a while shortly after diagnosis. For me there was a noticeable drop in sugar levels after a few days of starting them and had to lower insulin
doses. Then increase after weaning off them.

I was on Citalopram for a few months a couple of years ago, then Sertraline, and now Venlafaxine. I'm not sure any of them affected my blood glucose levels, but they were terrible anyway, partly because of the reasons for taking the SSRIs and SNRIs, so it wasn't really possible to tell.
