Since the weather has cooled down, I've been having more hypos and haven't changed my diet. Is this normal and is it that am burning up more calories to keep warm and not replacing them hence the hypos. I was diagnosed as type 2 on metformin. Thanks.

Yes I do my bloods 6 times a day as we are trying to have a baby. My lowest reading has been 3.1 when having a hypo they are normally around 3.7.

OK, that's great you have a meter. What are your figures two hours post meal?

You should see your doctor about the lows though..

Can vary from 6.5 down to 4.3. It's strange as it started when the weather got cooler. When it's mild no hypos. Can't make it out.

What were they readings like during the warmer/milder environment..?

I'd stick my neck out & guess insulin sensitivity? Your metformin helps with increasing the IS along with cutting any "liver dump" too...

See your doc.. I'm no expert!
There have been stories of insulin sensitivity happening in the winter months.. Though mine tends to happen in the summer..
