I'm graduating my re-LCHF acclimatisation:)

Lots of turkey, roasties, wine and champers a plenty, bars of Lindt, mince pies etc.

I realised yesterday, it was time to get back on the wagon when I had heartburn and a mild headache...first time for both in 9 months....so my body is giving me the nudge and I'm responding from yesterday, when I kicked off with a 5k run:).

I'm going dry and 25g LCHF for a couple of months just to jump start my system!!

You winner @KevinPotts I'm still eating mince pies - 2 mini ones today :) last day of Christmas entertaining though so back to LCHF tomorrow!

A more respectable fbg of 9.3 :). Its coming down slowly.
I think my insulin pen wasn't up to par, new pen better results.
I've reintroduced my metformin at lower fose so next week I'll increase it too. Hoping I won't need to stop it for a while as interfering with pcos treatment. No weight loss from it either and seeing consultant in feb. Although periods have resumed as they went missing but due to stress lately I'm not surprised. Diuretic doing an excellent job as keeping thrush away too. The salt in excreted urine must be sterilizing tubes. :) :) :) Blood pressure is much much better too, as breathing difficultly in rest. Pain relief making a huge difference too. A big difference when 4hrs inbetween doses is nearing its cover. Pain resumes with breathing pattern change too. Ribcage, sternum, chest, back, back of neck, pelvis, lower back, hip all in pain without pain relief. Seeing msk tomorrow for assesment.
A happer new year already.
Feeling more confident about echocardiogram scan on 26th now!
How is everyone?

I'm glad you're sounding more positive Vicky, it's amazing the difference just a few tweaks can make. I'm still bunged up with this yucky cold but my fbg wasn't as high this morning and I'm still managing to get out during the day. I look like the Michelin man with all my knitted accessories though!

I saw a physio at msk appointment today. She advised to do stretches to keep my upper body more flexible until cardiologist makes a decision. No leg exercises or anything to increase heart rate to cause breathing difficulty. Another appointment in 6wks.
I asked about pelvic pain and she feels its from me trying to correct a back problem. (@Liam1955 ).
It looks promising, i think :)
I told her how active i was just before problem started.
I'd like to resume it all, asap. But thats me - i want a magic wand repair/resolution.
I just have to do a bit at a time. No heavy exertion til cardiologist has a good look. Roll on echocardiogram on 26th. ;)

Just done my weekly weigh-in and I remain at 13st 4 lbs and have stayed this weight for the last 5 weeks now.
However, still 'surprised' at my HBA1C result yesterday at 76! Just proves that being in severe Pain and taking extra pain relief tablets can increase the result. - No more Morphine for me from now on, will just ' put up' with the Pain?

Oh William. I wish I could take your pain away. :(
Does gp have no other solution only morphine forever now?

My codeine and co-codamol does give me relief, especially in rest. Is codeine no use to you?

Seeing gp tuesday late afternoon to show more tummy swelling. :(

@ickihun - On Tuesday I have an appointment to see a Lady GP (not my usual Male GP) as I need to have the Ferrous Fumarate (Iron) Tablets 're- prescribed. And I'll make an appointment to see the Practise Diabetic Nurse.
No matter how severe the pain is? I shall not be reaching for the Morphine. At present I am taking 50mg Tramadol x 3 a day and Lyrica 200mg x 3 a day. I have had all the 'usual' tablets: Codeine, Naproxen, Diclofenic, Co-codamol to name a few over the years.
Got in the post this morning - Hospital appointments to see Rheumatologist on the 16th January (5 years and still no diagnosis = Which Arthritis I have?) and also to see the Liver Specialist on 3rd February.

I've been doing some reading lately and the common factor I've read is that being presented with a diabetic patient can effect blood results interpretation. Obesity too can effect what test results should be interpretation into. Not saying you need to worry on that score.
I just hope these specialists do remember our bodies don't always do what they should. ;)
Mind u most diabetics seem happy with their other conditions diagnosis so I'm hoping were in good hands.

I've come to the conclusion I can only change what I have control over. Nothing more and nothing less.
What will be, will be. Regardinh my results of my heart scans. I'm no heart specialist but l luckily know one. Well enough to keep me right, if need be. Lets hope I don't need to quiz my friend in his family time.

I have Asperger Syndrome which is an autism spectrum condition and a full diagnosis of Adult ADHD which are characterised by impairments in social communication, social interaction and social imagination. I also have a rigid and somewhat unpredictable routine. I also experience obsessive rituals, some a bit overwhelming. But I have a talent in articulate creative writing skills and possess a photographic rote memory. I have sensory sensitivity and get upset by loud noises, bright colours or lights, and notice the texture and consistency of certain foods more making my dietary choices extremely limited or restricted to certain food components. I dislike conflict and lies. The Adult ADHD also makes me very moody and cross.
Good morning, my lovely, kind friends on www.diabetes.co.uk,

This is the first time I've logged on in a few days. I'm still getting impeccable blood glucose readings with my type 2 diabetes mellitus and my blood glucose reading this morning was 5.3 Millimoles Per Litre. I'm still waiting to hear about getting a new computer in my flat from my appointee and care coordinator. I'm logging in now at Tate South Lambeth Public Library on Public Computer No 1. I'm still taking sweeteners in my tea and coffee and drinking plenty of tap water when I get occasional spikes in my blood glucose reading.

I didn't have too many emails on my email account but plenty of fab support from www.diabetes.co.uk.

Much love to you always.

Good evening, my good, fine friends on www.diabetes.co.uk,

I had a very good day today but had a near-unpleasant hypo this afternoon and noticed after feeling unwell on my blood glucose monitor that my blood glucose reading was 3.7 mmol. I managed to stabilize it in time with a Sainsbury's Basics Cottage Pie ready meal that my Carer from Holistic Community Care bought me last Thursday. I also had 2 tomato sandwiches. I'm still on sweetener in my tea and coffee and drinking tons and tons of tap water. My Asperger Syndrome is good, too.

Lots of love to you guys.
