Problems with Sitagliptin side effects

Good morning everyone.

I have had diabetes for over 25 years now.

Four years ago I was prescribed 50mg of Sitagliptin daily. I had no side effects at all, however last week this was increased to 100mg daily. Since then I feel quite tired and nauseas and now suffer with constipation.

Has any one had these problems ? if so did they go away after a while ?

What are the problems you are having ?
I was on Vildagliptin for 6 years without any problems .

The main ones are feeling sick and also constipation.

Does it state these side effects on the leaflet that came with the tablets ?
Everyone reacts differently to medication so I would give it a few days to see if it settles down if not go back to GP and ask if this is normal . Many medications seem to cause constipation in people so may just need a bit of extra help in this department !
