Accucheck 360 Connecting issue?

I'm having trouble getting the Accu check Insight handset to connect to my Windows 10 laptop, the computer identifies the handset via the USB cable but the software searches for the handset and the handset just states connecting, not connected?
Is there a simple fix for this as I've phoned Accu Check who advised the IT team will call back, but no call back since 10am?

Hi I've had this issue a few times, it can take up to 5mims to connect, out of interest do you load the software before connecting the device? As I noticed if I loaded the software then clicked search for device then connected device and on the handset pressed connect to computer it took less time than before? Sorry I can't be much more help!
