A good friend of mine is due a replacement pump as his pump is approaching it's end of warranty, I will be in the same position later this year. His control has improved fantastically since being on the pump but he is getting himself wound up that his CCG won't approve funding for his new pump and he may end up back on MDI. Would be interested to hear from anyone who has had their pumps replaced when out of warranty, did anyone experience issues with their CCG? Thanks

The fact that there has been a fantastic improvement in control shows that the pump has been good for your friend. There is no way that it would be taken from them.

I'm on my 3rd pump. The CCG wasn't involved it was just between me and Medtronic. They have approved pump therapy. A pump is provided. Medtronic (or the other manufacturer) chose to change it. I delayed the change last time to allow the 640g to be available.
