I have decided to give lipoic acid a try to help with pain in my feet after consulting my GP- can anyone recommend a supplier as I am a little nervous of buying medicine online?

I've been on the stuff since Friday so early days for improvement I think, and i may also need to tweak the dose. I got mine on Amazon too, I have to say though I've noticed it makes my wee smell a bit like it does after eating too much asparagus.

okay thats an interesting sideeffect I had that problem taking Cymbalta, I smel so bad my daugther didn´t want to hug me anymore..... some medication can lead to that ... it shoowed later I couldn´t cope with that specifik medication so maybe you should be aware it it is good for you at all..

the dose to be effective is more than 600mg a day but not much more... it is though a substance that also is naturally in our body but in a very small amount produced in muscles as I have red on the subject

Interested in how people get on with this - have some on order - knew about it anyway but confirmed to me as worth a try for neuropathy pain by a specialist Pain Doctor for nerve pain in my lower legs following my double knee replacement.

Have had it confirmed that it is not diabetes related, but of course every little helps!!!

I first read about this years ago, I will be interested to watch this. My neuropathy became worse recently (after a bout of not eating well) and I also read that people that have been on metformin for a long time can develop bitamin b deficiency. Got back onto a stricter diet and am taking vitamin b - something worked! Not sure which (or both). Not sure if this question needs a new thread.

I'm taking 300 -400 mg r lipoic divided throughout the day. So Ian my hubby twice my size. We both see huge benefits. My neuropathy improved daily after the first day. He doesn't have neuropathy but has seen other benefits.

We both CAN get a little nausea but no rhyme or reason. Worth getting rid Of the neuropathy in my opinion.
