It is now 8:00 ante meridian BST on Friday 19th May 2017 CE and my blood glucose level is 5.4 millimoles per litre, since taking my metformin and other prescriptive medications at 5:57 ante meridian BST on this day. My most recent hand-rolled cigarette was smoked at 7:38 ante meridian BST so my next hand-rolled cigarette will not be smoked until 8:10 ante meridian BST approximately half an hour later. From next week, I shall make that one cigarette every half an hour one cigarette every hour.

Toujeo300 basal insulin is very good.
Due to my insulin resistance I'm edging on depreciating levels as the day progresses. As everyone knows insulin resistance is worse on a morning.
Maybe an insulin is needed for a spike of strength on a morning then dwindles off as the day progresses, for IR sufferers?
Toujeo300 keeps insulin steady all day. Its a pleasure. Less liver dumping. Doesn't resolve everything but definitely far better than no insulin to reduce my bgs. Insulin is the only thing which works for my insulin resistance. Tablets aren't strong enough for me.
I've had a few evening hypos so may have to reduce it. We'll see. I had to have a supper to fight off a second hypo last night. Which could hamper my weight loss.
Off for afternoon nap now. We had a neighbourhood disturbance last night so my sleep was hit and miss through the night too. I'm shattered now.

Sending you hugs Vicky, we live on an ex-council estate (now housing association) and this area used to be well known for party goers! Luckily the area has settled down now but I can guarantee there's going to be some festivities on Bank Holiday Monday

What's ironic is its a 70yr old in a private area. Suppose to be a respectable area of sunderland. Nasty man is a child hater. He needs help.
Mind u we were wondering if he's starting with dementia? We don't know much about it so I haven't a clue either way. He was very aggressive, abusive and threatening towards the kids.

I'm happy today and have been reflecting upon the outcome of my pre-review meeting with my Care Coordinator who reminded me after many times before that I don't have personality disorder - not otherwise specified or schizoid personality disorder or schizophrenia or bipolar affective disorder, that she, and my current consultant psychiatrist, are going to treat me for full Asperger Syndrome of which, according to my friend Ioanna, who has had nursing experience prior to her breakdown, has a strong susceptibility to anxiety and depression, that and overwhelming routines and obsessive rituals, difficulty communicating and interacting on a face-to-face relation with other people and lacking social imagination, that is working out fiction novels and being able to anticipate or predict how the story is going to end. And that's why I prefer to veer away from fictitious literature and focus on factual accounts.

My chronic idiopathic back pain has caused me a certain degree of discomfort and is quite annoying.

I'm back on my timetable that my psychologist drew up for me in the last session of cognitive behaviour therapy and I'm supposed to have my breakfast at 7:15 ante meridian BST and take my morning meds at 8:00 ante meridian BST and have my shower (ablutions) at 8:15 ante meridian BST.

My blood glucose reading after coffee with 2 sugars, tea with 2 sugars and tea with sweetener is 5.6 millimoles per litre, this morning, Tuesday 23rd May 2017 AD at 5:19 ante meridian BST.

Good morning, my lovely friends on Type 2 Life,

I've just administered orally my morning prescriptive medication, today, Sunday 23rd April 2017 Anno Domini at just before the present time which is 9:17 ante meridian British Summer Time, and earlier on I ingested 2 tomato sandwiches, 1 at different times to the other. My blood glucose reading now, after administering orally my metformin hydrochloride 1000 milligramme tablet, is a little bit hyperglycemic standing at 7.7 Millimoles Per Litre. I have to locate the low-carb bread. There's supposed to be one on the Sainsbury's website called "Hi-Lo" but whenever I'm in the Sainsbury's supermarket at Nine Elms (locally to my flat) I can't find it. It would be in my best interests to do that or save some money and commute to "Holland & Barratt" in Brixton, a number 2 bus ride away from Vauxhall. I read that my dear friend @ickihun quoted "Holland & Barratt" in a post above in reference to a healthy-eating ice cream that @tTinamarie posted about. It sounded yummy by the way, ladies, I enjoyed reading that post!

Anyways - I was just wondering if anyone had had a steroid injection and knew how long it lasts in the system.

My Levels are all over the shop and my arm pain is returning (ie Steroid injection wearing off) - silly rotator cuff injury.

They told me aqua aerobics was healthy .... hahaha

Hi @magsiesss - The answer is Yes = Steriod Injections will raise your Blood Sugars.
Long Acting Steriod Injections can last a few months. Whereas Short Acting Steriod Injections starts working in 2 to 5 days and can last a few weeks.

You are most Welcome @magsiesss . But, try not to worry as that in itself will raise your Blood Sugars.
I had a total of 4 Steriod Injections over a period of a few months to ease my Osteoarthritis and they never worked, I only got raised Blood Sugars.
Here's hoping the Scan Results are favourable. Has Physio at all been mentioned?

I met one of the bariatric nurses today. She was lovely. I told her about my bouts of panic attacks. First time I've admitted to someone that these cause me a problem. I must ask for more techniques from specialist. I'm sure i can improve things myself more. Breathing seems to be the key. Ha ha

I'm so sorry I haven't been on the www.diabetes.co.uk Forum recently. I've been busy initiating a prayer vigil praying for the 59 injured people in the Manchester Arena Terror Attack incident on Monday Evening as well as remembering the 22 who sadly passed away at the hands of vicious, evil, merciless Jihadist Muslim Killing. A lot of traditional Islamic People, not Jihadists, who don't conform to the teachings of Sharia Law, are also cross and upset and saddened about this incident. The suicide bomber terrorist, perpetrator of the explosion that took the lives of 22 children and young people at the Ariana Grande concert, one of them including 8-year old Saffie Rose Roussos, a horrid man called Salman Ramadan Adeni, aged 22, resident to Manchester descendant of Libyan parentage, maliciously walked into the arena foyer with a bomb strapped to him and detonated it creating mass carnage and destruction. It saddens me how anyone can be so cruel, and what sort of monster would take the lives of fellow human beings, especially young children who haven't even lived. There was a 22-minute silence on Facebook last night from 6:00 postmeridian to 6:22 post meridian last night to remember the 22 victims killed plus the 59 injured in this horrific incident. I've been praying my little heart out for families, fathers, mothers, brothers, sisters, cousins, uncles, aunties, grannies and granddaddies of the victims.

My blood glucose reading was 8.2 millimoles per litre after taking my 5 mg Bisacodyl tablets for poo-poo stimulation with a glass of prune juice, which regrettably, spiked my blood glucose level. I haven't eaten much today. I fasted this morning, ate a cheesy pepperoni pizza (deep pan) mid afternoon and fasted and prayed through the Facebook vigil in the evening.

I haven't had any since having a chat with my gp.
I think I've now accepted my diagnosis and hay ho just another disease to keep in it's place. I felt like I did when I was first diagnosed with diabetes. Totally fed up but acceptance makes a huge difference.
To keep my heart disease low I need to exercise but because I cannot at mo I'm having bariatric surgery to take the pressure off my heart and diabetes.
At least I feel I'm doing something to help my health and longevity!
