Is anyone on Trulicity? I have just taken my first dose this week and spent the week feeling sick and having tummy ache as well being incredibly tired.

I am hoping it is temporary but my god I feel rubbish. Hoping for some positive experiences.

Had my second injection and so far so good. Very little nausea. Still a bit tired but manageable and I don't feel like I want to eat loads.
I actually feel full and satisfied from a smaller meal.

Hoping it continues in this way. Blood sugars are around 6.8 first thing in the morning, (seems to spike first thing) and I had a 5.6 reading 2 hours after food.

Fantastic stuff, before I took Trulicity, my levels were around 11-12

Going to start tomorrow I'm really nervous about taking it Reading lots of bad reviews

Hey. I am taking my 3rd dose tomorrow and I feel good now. The first week was awful, nausea and extreme tiredness but it has quickly settled down and I don't really have any side effects other than feeling full quickly. (Which is a bonus.) Haven't lost any weight but also haven't put any on.

My sugars are way better, even getting 5's now. I still feel a bit tired at times but I think it's just my body adjusting. Good luck and let me know how you are. X

Hi I'm on trulicity and have really had my ups and downs on it mainly downs, I have experienced a lot of D&V where iv had to call in sick at work several times and my BGL's are still quite high so I don't think it's working for me! I'm happy to hear it's settling for you Em, I don't mean to sound negative but I was ok on it for a few months after the initial sickness but now it's making me ill again for the last 3 weeks!

Oh no! I am pinning my hopes on Trulicity as nothing has worked in the past. I am always ill as it is and my diet isn't fab as I have depression and don't deal with life well when I am down.

Sorry hun maybe it will be better for you! I'm the same though nothing else has worked for me and I'm one step away from insulin! My diet isn't fab either, I really want it to work but not sure about it! Good luck x

Took my first dose on Saturday, so far, my appetite has virtually vanished, but no other real side effects so far, my diet is poor too, but I'm getting some proper dietary coaching from my specialist nurse, and now I've found this forum, I'm going to try the low carb diet, & see if the combination will kick my readings down, don't get down, in the words of my favourite band, "Failure isn't falling down, it's staying down".

I am still suffering from a sore throat, doc wouldn't give anti biotics but now it's getting worse and I can't seem to fight it off. Other than that, things are ok. Bg levels still hovering around 6.5- 7 so much better than before I started Trulicity. Hoping if they stay down, the infections will lessen as apparently uncontrolled high sugar leads to illnesses.

I hope you folks that say your diet isn't on track can turn that around. No manner of medicine is going to be able to correct poor dieting. You have to find a way to get that under control first as it, and nothing else, is the chief driving factor, along with regular exercise, to managing and defeating type 2 diabetes. The meds simply won't do it on its own.

Very true. My diet is bad and I am not exercising at present. I feel so depressed and ill that I have zero motivation. Catch 22 situation.

Hopefully the motivation...is to cease being depressed and ill.

One of two things will occur. Either you kick this ***** in the teeth, or you let it kick you in yours.

When you're sick of swallowing your own teeth, you'll put your steel tips ok and start doing the kicking.

Good luck my friend.

Thanks. The depression is a long standing issue. However today has been better diet and mood wise. Baby steps. Blood glucose 5.5 this morning. Happy with that.
