Had a hypo at around 4.30 this afternoon, the reason, I believe the whole day contributed to it.
Not much sleep last night. Went to work feeling a bit off!
Used my reading glasses all day which makes my eyes tired.
Hot and sweaty due to weather and work!
Picking at food, not really hungry.
Went home early and tried to keep cool, in vain. Still felt a bit off.
At 4pm had to move furniture and I overdid the lifting.
Think my liver took over, started shaking, blurred vision, more sweaty, angry, worried and so on. I was dehydrated as well took a pint glass water straight away before testing my bloods.
2.1, wow!
Are two biscuits, more water and after fifteen minutes tested again.
4.1, eyes clearing, a bit better.
Had a ham salad.
Tested every fifteen minutes since and all in normal levels just!!
A couple of spoons of yoghurt and I'm off to bed.

Need to get a good night sleep.

Usually like this weather it not today, opulent feel ok no matter what I tried to do to get cool.

Hope everyone is ok!

Thats a particular set of events, isn't it?
Hope you don't encounter them again.
Glad you knew what to do!
Do you have to work tomorrow? Or can you take it easy?
I doubt if you will feel right til the day after.

I'm in work, no rest for the weird and wicked.
Feeling a bit groggy and nice 'hangover' headache.
I'm having a fasting day and it should be cooler today!
Good sleep, I will muddle through.
Thanks for your support as always.

Hi Lamont that was really low hope you soon feel better. Could the meds and high temperatures being playing havoc with your insulin response? atb Derek

I suspect that dehydration is a factor in some hypos - making them lower and longer lasting - it might be wise - in the hot weather, to make sure you drink normal amounts or even a bit extra, and more frequently, even if you do not eat.

The weather really effects me. I used to love hot weather ( NOT humid) but now it just exhausts me and I feel it in my bs too. Mid 90's was my favorite. Now 80's can be too wicked. Although I think menopause adds 10 degrees. Haha

I have to stay cool in hot weather...somehow.

Hope you're feeling better. Those lows are wicked.

Yep, plenty of water, drank a lot more than normal. I'm fine today having had a fasting day yesterday. A couple of spoonfuls of yoghurt to start. Having a bit of roasted fresh gammon for lunch. Still got the residue headache.
No I don't think it's my insulin response, I think doing too much when lifting my fridge freezer did it, my liver kicked in and that initiated the insulin response. I have noticed when working when I have done too much at once, something happens and my blood glucose levels respond.

How are you mate?

I'm good now! Thanks!
Back in control and so are my bloods.
Had a busy active day in work, just chilling now!

Chicken for tea before, just chicken!

Not too bad ATM Nosher but wondering what's going to happen to the local health service now we are losing our doctors like the rest of the country. atb D.

I think most people who rely on the health service is concerned about the path the Tories are taking with our health.
We cannot go on like this!
There has to be stability and proper funding for those that actually treat the patient rather than the waste and lack of funding.

Sorry to read about your hypo. Must have been really unexpected after so long without one. Glad you're feeling better now though. Let's hope it's a one off!

Take care
