hello all,
I have just been diagnosed with T2 diabetes and its come as a relief to me that it wasn't anything more serious. After having reoccuring breast absesses and other symptoms I was beginning to think there was something really wrong. Then the Doctor did bloods etc and I got my news. My nan was diabetic so theres no surprise someone in the family was going to get it.
The doc has put me on metformin and I have been referred to an exercise programme. I have put lots of weight on over the last 3 years due to immobility after a back operation in 2007. Now I feel that with the right medication and exercise things will get better, my diet is well balance although I have cut down drastically on my favourite food - biscuits :|
Anyway thought I would introduce myself
