Are you affected by antibiotics?

Hi guys, I've been struggling with high levels since yesterday (I'm hovering around the 10 mark with corrections having little effect, and my normal bolus ratios don't seem to be as effective as they normally are). The only thing that has changed since yesterday is that I'm currently on a course of antibiotics to treat a UTI.

Is this a thing? Did anyone else struggle when they've been on antibiotics?

It could be that it is the infection that the antibiotics have been prescribed for that is adding to your raised levels. Get well soon.

Pump
Yeah I always run higher when I’m unwell.
Are you on a pump? Can you increase your basal?

I'm not on a pump but I will increase my evening Levemir shot and see how I get on overnight. Thanks!

Good luck!
I’m on a pump and when I’m unwell I have to increase mine by between 20% & 100%!
Hope you feel better tomorrow x

Thanks! I remember being on a pump and that is the one thing I do miss about it, being able to manipulate basal on the fly to what you need! X
