IVF what to expect

Hi guys

I'm confused. I was diagnosed with Type 2 following bloods taken for pre ivf checks showed high sugar level.

I have read that u should wait up to 6 months after diagnosis before conceiving. Does anyone know if this is correct? I don't want to do anything that will affect my chance of success but don't want to lose place

I have IVF clinic in February & not sure what to expect or what to say? TIA

Some IVF clinics in the US recommend a low carb diet which may also help with blood sugar levels. It may be with looking into.

Thanks. Hopefully uk is similar. I'm currently doing low carb diet including foods below 5%
