Hi. Just a quick question. How often should a T1 have their eyes tested I don’t mean the retinopathy test I know that’s annually.

Hey @Babyweed ideally an annual apt for a sight test is fine, I wear contacts so go every year as well as my annual eye screening apt.

@Babyweed . I'm 99% certain that as T1 diabetics we were entitled to one free eye check annually, but on my last visit (Dec 2017 ) I was told it would be biannually due to new NHS guidance.
Obviously if at any point you are concerned with your eyesight then book an appointment.

Same here, they reckon the brief test before the yearly retinal screening shows up any change in the prescription, BUT you can claim a free one if you 'believe' there's a change in your sight.
