Hi has anybody ever had there legs and feet swell as soon as you get out of bed in the morning. I asked the diabetic nurse she told me the insulin does that. Is this normal.

Hmm, never heard of that, though it's possible it's just a diabetes complication I haven't heard of. 48 years of injecting insulin here. Are you a new diabetic? T1?

Hmm, are your blood sugars normal or still coming down? It's possible it's a thing for new diabetics who are still running high?

No feet or leg swelling at any time and type 1 (with insulin) for nearly 15 years.
Not when my BG is high. Not when first diagnosed. Not when getting out of bed.
I’ve never heard of it with insulin but that doesn’t mean it’s not possible.
Have you read the leaflet that comes with your insulin and, like every drug, describes possible side effects?

I never experienced that either (well at least not that I can remember - I've no idea what state I was in when newly diagnosed) and I'm now up to 41 years of diabetes

I’ve never had swelling but an internet search found this.
