specialising in pies.
Pies..
You realy have to laugh at the irony...

I was in a solid relationship by 96? & it all fizzled out from Hatchets by the 98 mark. Through my wife & I kinda hung out in Hatchets. Though we both formally met in the Green park tavern... (95.)
Happy ending spoiler alert. We married 8 years ago.. I'm still doing the band I joined initially from Hatchets. (We were rehearsing today!) :)

There's two tattoo parlours within 200 yards of me. I'm tempted to pop in and ask, "can you rattle this off for me?":

I'm not inked, probably never will be, but gotta admire the artistry which went into that number.
Me too. No tattoos but it is beautiful, this one.
I'd be interested in a type2 one if after bariatric surgery I still need insulin.

I often thought I ought to get one and then chickened out at the thought of the pain. Coward! The only time I ended up unconscious in A&E I came round to a voice telling me I had to wear something that indicated I had T1. I was wearing a medic alert: they just didn’t see it. Maybe the time has come . . .
I wear dog tags & wear them where they can be seen, even if it's on the outside of my jumper or shirt after I collapsed in Southend as I find this helpful to ambulance staff, on it states my name, date of birth, & the conditions that I have. I used to do ambulance work with St John Ambulance & been through times when the patient is unresponsive, then the ambulance crew have some knowledge of what to do

When your diabetes misbehaves for no apparent reason.
I keep pondering with a tattoo just something basic, no fancy art as I feel a first responder may think it's just a normal tattoo like everyone seems to have these days. I currently have a OneLife ID band in red which has Type 1 Diabetic plus my emergency contact and insulin I'm on - www.onelifeid.com

See image of my medalert tattoo. Only had it done on Friday so still looking a little scabby and blurry but gives you the general idea.

I decided to have a tattoo as the bracelets and necklaces I used to wear used to break easily and I didn't want to risk going without ID in an emergency. I chose inner wrist as it's where any medic would look for a pulse if I was unconscious.
