Awoke to 6.1 at 0600.

Saw my usual doctor yesterday, he was attentive and went through all my figures and concerns over using metformin. He was in agreement with me and has asked that I go back and try Glic for six weeks to see if my system can tolerate it. My concerns over Glic were regarding driving (professionally) but I had to agree with the doc that given my other condition it is unlikely that I will go back to my old job.

As a few folk famously say on here "Onwards and downwards"

8.3 for me today. Anything below 10 is good given my medication.

Well today is going to be interesting, I am left to my own devices, skinny dipping in the Olympic sized pot hole out side my house is a possibility, not a probability. My pals chaos and mayhem are otherwise engaged today. Must go the call of koffy is strong. Have a good one folks.

An exceedingly disappointing 11.1 this morning, matches the dank day we have in gods country today. I thought something was up when I had no hypo last night after training. Oh well, onwards and upwards and all that.
On an even cheerier note I have to go and "see"(see what I did there!!!;)) the eye specialist's today regarding my right eye and possibly have more laser surgery.

Take care everyone.

Well well well, I have a double magnum raspberry after my tea/dinner two nights in a row, less exercise than normal and still this morning an adorable 5.7 my fifth (every spelling of that word looks odd) day in a row- I will not be tempting fate with another lovely lolly tonight- no matter how sunny it is. But boy am I pleased with these fbg numbers lately.

Sounds delicious! I have ice cream once a week on Wednesdays as a treat (that's the day I change my dexcom sensor and I need something nice to make up for it!), used to eat them more often as they never affected my sugars but I'm trying to lose a bit of weight and they have too many calories/fat.

Very sunny but breezy here today so I hope you all have a share of the sunshine today. 4.8 for me today so nothing too bad there. @DJC3 there is really nothing between 6.1 and 5s rogue strip, touch finger wrongly etc yo're fine. @flexi06 loving the magnum diet and it clearly suits you. @Goonergal nurse yourself through this situation, shin splints and tests bound to add stress even if unacknowledged and before testing bg you would probably not have seen any evidence. It a funny old game. As the man said "ee be careful of them English John Book"

4.7 today for me. Very happy with that. I treated myself to a piece of Warburtons seeded batch bread (small loaf 9 carb a slice) and I'm happy to say my BS stated stable. Nothing else 'carby' which is reflected in this morning's reading.

Some other great results out there together with funny comments which always bring a smile to my face.

Another day of glorious sunshine on the cards. I'm clothes shopping for my jollies as nothing fits me since losing 41 lbs!!!! So a day trailing in and out of clothes shops but with a little spring in my step this time!

Hi Everyone,

I hope your all doing as well as you expect to be doing, whilst dealing with this beast of a condition, we're burdened with.
Your not alone in dealing with this condition, as the all the Member's of this Forum, are willing to assist with help, as it
does work !!!

My BGL's this morning at 07.30 hrs were 8.5 which is where they have been since last Friday 18th, and even my
exercise and walking doesn't seem to be helping, so I just need to continue doing what I'm doing.

Hi all, 5.4 this morning! Doing well lowering my numbers but managing to put ON weight! Very frustrating as I need to lose at least 6 stone to be at a reasonable weight... I mentioned earlier on another thread (can't find it now) but I'm being interviewed for a Synexus trial on the 31st. Fingers crossed I get on it since losing the weight might mean I can go out more. Can't walk too far without experiencing severe pain. I put on 3lb after a week of slim fast for 2 meals a day and an evening meal under 600 cals. Still, my fasting is down from an average of 7.1...
