Is it any wonder that people with T2 have a struggle to get the disease into remission if this is the advice they are getting from a diabetes charity? I can't believe what they are saying is good and low carb! (link now added below)

I just pasted the link into a new page in my browser. This is from Diabetes UK, which is still pushing the Eatwell Plate, sadly, and this is the first point of reference for many newly diagnosed people as this is where their HCPs tell them to look.

Tell everyone in healthcare about diabetes.co.uk. The more we make them aware that there is an alternative site to look at, the better.

Hmm sorry but its not exactly rocket science that if you search any recipe site for pasta recipes, you're going to get high carb recipes because pasta is err...... a very high carb food
Search the same site using a different item or dietary search terms and you get v differen results - for balance, heres a few from the first page of their low sugar reccipes section where 5 out of the 10 recipes are 12g carbs or less

Diabetes uk does not specifically advocate low carb for T2 but neither does it advocate high carb - it has resources that can be helpful if used selectively and I dont find the way it is sometimes demonised as being either fair or helpful
